“Wish You a Lovely Sunday” <\/em>is South-Korean artist Young-jun Tak\u2019s first exhibition in Sweden. The exhibition borrows its title from the film installation on view in the Hay Barn, which combines and juxtaposes two distinctive spatial settings\u2014a church and a queer club. <\/p>\n\n

About<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

For this filmic work, two choreographers and two dancers were paired up to create a new choreography, for the church Kirche am S\u00fcdstern and the queer club SchwuZ in Berlin respectively. After rehearsals and the choreographies were completed, their designated venues were swapped. The film creates a moving and intimate view of the dancers\u2019 bodies, negotiating the new architectural setting and ambiance. Through the continuous interlacing of scenes from the two distinct architectures and community spaces, the film, shot during the pandemic, suggests their connections as ritual spaces offering comfort to the bodies and minds of visitors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
