The repetition of a single shape builds Jacob Dahlgren\u2019s sculpture. The titel is culled from an exhibition in New York in 1966 with American and British artists. The exhibition received great praise and the works became known as minimalist, that later became an established term referring to how the artists mainly worked with simple shapes, often in series. Dahlgren references minimalist tradition, but to him the interaction of the beholder is also very important. Previously he has created works made out of existing objects\u2014floors made of bathroom scales in different colors and walls of dart boards. When the sculpture was inaugerated in 2011 a performance took place. Close to 130 people dressed in black-and-white striped tops were part of a composition, placed on benches around the park and among the works of art. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
