On the edges of Haraberga farm near Wan\u00e5s, Richard Nonas found 40 large boulders that became the artwork La Colonne Termin\u00e9e<\/em>. He placed the boulders in pairs on the large lawn near the pond. The boulders were later moved to their current site. Nonas creates abstract, geometric installations in which he arranges objects made from materials such as wood, metal, and stone. In his own words: \u201cThere are things language can\u2019t say easily that I feel the need to say [\u2026] The only visual art that interests me is the art that is conveying something that it would not be able to convey directly with words.\u201d Nonas also participated in the exhibition Wan\u00e5s 1990 with Burnt Njal<\/em>, installed in the Barn. In the park, visitors will also find an artwork consisting of park benches entitled Some Comfort<\/em>, which was a part of an exhibition shown at Waldemarsudde, Stockholm, and Wan\u00e5s in 1998.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
