On the edges of Haraberga farm near Wanås, Richard Nonas found 40 large boulders that became the artwork La Colonne Terminée. He placed the boulders in pairs on the large lawn near the pond. The boulders were later moved to their current site. Nonas creates abstract, geometric installations in which he arranges objects made from materials such as wood, metal, and stone. In his own words: “There are things language can’t say easily that I feel the need to say […] The only visual art that interests me is the art that is conveying something that it would not be able to convey directly with words.” Nonas also participated in the exhibition Wanås 1990 with Burnt Njal, installed in the Barn. In the park, visitors will also find an artwork consisting of park benches entitled Some Comfort, which was a part of an exhibition shown at Waldemarsudde, Stockholm, and Wanås in 1998.
