Kimsooja’s artwork A Laundry Field from 2020 has been acquired into the collection and this summer it can be experienced in the sculpture park again. Hundreds of white sheets, embroidered with monograms or decorated with lace swaying in the wind and remind us of the creation of a home, life and death.
ABOUT
Throughout her career, Kimsooja has worked with textiles in various forms, most often with colorful Korean bedspreads. The textiles, which have been used by people, reflect the life and everyday life in which they are used, while also drawing attention to the craftsmanship behind them.
