To mark Wanås Konst’s 40th anniversary in 2027, artists Chiachio & Giannone are creating a new textile artwork together with visitors, neighbours and the wider Wanås community. The artwork will take the form of a huge patchwork quilt made up of 25 × 25 cm squares. The exhibition will open at the turn of April/May 2027.

Would you like to make a square? The theme is the question: “What do you want to celebrate?”

Reflect on what makes you happy, what you find beautiful and what you consider important in the world and in life – both big and small things. Sew, draw, write! Embroider, appliqué pieces of fabric, stamp or print.

Your finished square can be delivered to the Wanås Konst office on weekdays between 8 am and 4.30 pm (NOTE: closed over Christmas and New Year), or sent by post to:
